KAIZEN stands for  permanent improvement.  KAIZEN is a combination of the Japanese word
KAI = change, alteration and ZEN = change for the better.

KAIZEN is a way of thinking with the focus on improving processes, activities and products.
Not immediately at one go, but permanently step by step.

This way of thinking embraces all employees of a company up to the management board.
KAIZEN means changing the way of thinking and the approach of solving problems,
through creative solutions.

Since 2009 HEMA has implemented an active KAIZEN culture in the different production areas,
step by step, and also within the administrative function.
A KAIZEN Team was formed with members from all departments of the company to foster creative ideas and optimize their implementation.

Training and input from employees are the basics to achieve large scale changes and to get a
fresh approach into existing methods.
