In the warehouse of a Dutch company, three large scissor lift tables were long considered a critical point in terms of occupational safety. An internal walkway regularly leads many employees along this path. The risk of accidentally interfering with the scissor structure, as well as driving under it or improperly setting down pallets, was therefore high. This hazard was eliminated with custom-designed bellows from HEMA.

As part of a retrofit, the 1,200 x 4,000 mm lifting tables, which can be extended to a height of 850 mm, were fitted with ELASTIC series bellows. This product line offers numerous combination options, with basic components, materials, shapes, processing methods, and dimensions tailored to the specific application. Attachment was achieved using metal end frames, but is also possible with Velcro fasteners.

The protective covers were designed to fit the lifting tables precisely and save space. The bellows completely conceal the scissor structure and move quietly with it. This effectively prevents people or objects from entering the critical area and triggering an emergency stop, or causing personal injury or property damage.
