Standard polycarbonate panes become brittle quickly because they are constantly exposed to cooling lubricants within the machine tool. We construct our machine safety windows as a specialized composite that offers enhanced protection: the polycarbonate pane is shielded on the machine side by a safety glass layer that is resistant to cooling lubricants and chips. The polycarbonate itself—valued for its high retention capability—is positioned on the operator side. This composite structure has proven highly robust in testing.
