Since the beginning of the year, Dominik Fertr has been supporting the HEMA team as key account manager. In this role he is responsible for sanitation products. Dominik Fertr has several years of experience in key account management and as a sales team leader.

Sanitation is a lighter form of disinfection. It serves to eliminate infectious germs and reduce microorganisms. They also help eliminate odors. Sanitation solutions are required, for example, in medical facilities or the food industry. Depending on the requirements and industry, HEMA uses different technologies such as UV-C light, plasma/ions or ozone. For example, ozone is used to sanitize ice machines. The clean ice products from HEMA ozonize the water in the inlet to the ice machine. Since ozone is gaseous, it also reaches machine parts that are difficult to access. The amount of ozone contained in the water is gradually released into the environment during the further process and thus also ensures the sanitation of the refrigerated counters etc.

“The sanitation area offers highly innovative products for sanitizing and drying surfaces and objects. We want to strengthen and expand this product area in the future,” says Dominik Fertr. And with a wink he adds, “Clean Ice and summer can come.”
