Machine protection windows enable a clear view into the working area of machine tools, but also have a protective function and must be resistant to cooling lubricants and chips, especially in metal-cutting production.

To increase security, HEMA manufactures the security windows in composite construction. This consists of safety glass in the machine room and polycarbonate on the operator side. The latter has a particularly high retention capacity and the internal safety glass is less sensitive to cooling lubricants.

Individual and diverse
The design of the machine protection windows depends on the required protection class. For this purpose, the pane composite is sealed all around and the frame profiles are individually cut. Special shapes such as applied radii or curved designs can also be manufactured. For additional illumination of the processing area, the machine protection windows can be equipped with integrated LED lights ex works.

Check and replace regularly
But composite panes also age, become visually cloudy and dull and their holding power decreases. Therefore, all machine protection windows must be visually inspected at regular intervals and replaced at the prescribed maintenance intervals.

HEMA offers its customers an exchange service for this: In an inventory, the machine operator receives a detailed overview of the machine locking washers used in his machines. The replacement period is determined by a professional assessment of the panes. On this basis, the removal and measurement of the existing panes as well as the construction and safe design of the replacement panes can begin.
