For moving machine parts such as dynamic axles or guide rails, HEMA offers telescopic steel covers as protection. They are made of sturdy sheet steel and can be individually tailored to the customer's requirements in terms of size, design and installation method.

Protection against particles and liquids
Made from high-quality, cold-formed sheet steel with a material thickness of 1.5 to 3 mm, the telescopic steel covers from HEMA provide effective protection against the ingress of all types of particles. Through design measures and integrated wiper systems, the covers can also be largely protected against the ingress of liquids such as cooling lubricants. HEMA offers various components and wiper profiles as optional components and can also supply the telescopic steel covers in a stainless version upon request.

There are practically no limits to customer requirements when it comes to designs, sizes and installation methods. In addition to the standard rectangular design, sloping and roof shapes are also possible. HEMA can realize dimensions with widths of up to five meters and extension lengths of over 15 meters. Depending on the size and weight of the covers, HEMA offers different functional parts and reinforcements. The telescopic steel covers are supported by support and guide gliders up to a weight of up to 50 kilograms. If the weight is greater, support rollers moving on guideways are used.

HEMA also offers additional safety features for higher travel speeds. From a speed of 30 m/min a scissor system is installed. Optional dampers are also available to reduce shock, noise or friction.
